Laos and Cambodia suffered the most after Vietnam War

Re: “Another round in the battle over Vietnam,” Sept. 10 James Reston Jr. column.

I am not defending our war in Vietnam, but calling the domino theory ‘’discredited’’ over and over again does not mitigate the fact that violent revolution turned Laos and Cambodia communist soon after we abandoned Vietnam.

Those of us who favored peace at any price can turn a blind eye to “The Killing Fields.” That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Steve Baur, Westminster
