LONDON» The two suspects detained over last week’s London subway bombing are an 18-yearold refugee from Iraq and a 21-year old from Syria, both of whom were fostered by a British couple, according to a local official and media reports. The 18-year-old was detained Saturday at the southeast England port of Dover, a departure point for ferries to France. The 21-year-old was held later the same day in Hounslow in west London. Sky News and other British media named him as Yahyah Farroukh, originally from Syria.

U.S. to press concerns in meeting with Cubans.

YORK» The Trump NEW administra­tion will press its concerns about unexplaine­d incidents harming American diplomats in Cuba during a meeting this week in Washington, as the U.S. considers shuttering its recently reopened embassy in Havana. U.S. diplomats will host Cuban official Josefina Vidal, who has been the public face of Cuba’s diplomatic opening with the U.S., and other Cuban officials.

U.S. jets drop live bombs in a new, massive show of force aimed at North Korea.

The Pentagon deployed a formation of 14 bombers and fighters over the Korean Peninsula on Sunday that also included South Korean and Japanese aircraft, the latest show of force in response to North Korea’s missile launches and nuclear tests.

The aircraft carried out a simulated attack on the Pilsung training range in South Korea, a few dozen miles from the demilitari­zed zone separating the North and South, while using live bombs.
