Two people have been arrested after authoritie­s found an illegal marijuana grow and suspected butane hash oil operation inside a Pueblo West home.

Reinaldo Castillo, 53, and Jose Castillo, 52, were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of multiple marijuana charges and conspiracy, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigat­ors went to a home in the 500 block of North Raymont Drive on a report of an illegal marijuana grow, according to a news release. Inside the home, detectives found 146 marijuana plants, “well above the limit” allowed by law.

“You probably just cheated on me,” Flores texted Doolittle the day before her death.

Text messages sent between Tanner Flores’ and Ashley Doolittle’s cellphones became the center of testimony in Flores’ first-degree murder trial on Wednesday.

Flores, 19, is accused of shooting and killing Doolittle, 18, his former girlfriend, in June 2016.

He faces life in prison on each of two first-degree murder allegation­s, as well as up to 32 years on a felony kidnapping charge in the case.

Former Berthoud High School classmates and friends of Flores and Doolittle as well as a Larimer County sheriff’s investigat­or were called to the witness stand Wednesday morning to discuss the nature of Doolittle’s relationsh­ips with Flores and other witnesses.

Investigat­or Aaron Horwitz read through a long list of text messages between Flores and Doolittle exchanged the day before Doolittle’s death, including ones that showed the defendant suspected Doolittle of pursuing interests in other men.

U.S., Mexico finalize Colorado River pact.

The U.S. and Mexico finished an agreement Wednesday to preserve the overtaxed Colorado River, including spending millions of dollars on conservati­on and environmen­tal projects and drawing up plans to deal with any shortages amid drought and climate change.
