Ogden awash in multinight stands
It’s been a busy week for multi-date announcements at the Ogden Theatre, including a twonight stand from instrumental powerhouse Medeski, Scofield, Martin & Wood on March 30-31. Tickets for the 16-and-up shows on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 6. ($36, or $72 for two-day passes; axs.com)
Nahko & Medicine for the People will stop by the Ogden for a trio of New Year’s Eve-themed shows Dec. 29-31, with openers Dustin Thomas (Dec. 29), Tubby Love (Dec. 30) and The Late Ones (Dec. 31). Colorado favorites Greensky Bluegrass also return to the Ogden for concerts Jan. 11-13. All shows are 16-and-up, and tickets are on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 6. Cowboy comic and country musician Rodney Carrington will headline the Paramount Theatre on Jan. 19, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 6. ($44.75 or $179.75 VIP, altitudetickets.com)
A quarter century has passed since Marc Cohn released his debut album, which featured the (then) ubiquitous soft-rock juggernaut “Walking in Memphis.” To celebrate, Cohn will perform the Grammy-winning album in its entirety at the Boulder Theater on Feb. 26. Bob Seger postponed his Oct. 26 Pepsi Center concert because of a medical issue, according to promoter Live Nation. Rescheduled dates will be announced when available, and previously held tickets will be honored at the new date.
