A new way of looking at Castle Pines: Lennar has four attractive models open, offering an easier commute to DTC
It’s been more than a decade since Castle Pines — the exits off I-25 on the way down to Castle Rock — offered any significant new-home opportunities for families in the mid-price range — but that’s changing now. Today, Lennar Homes will give you a whole new way of looking at the Castle Pines area, from a vantage point just south of Castle Pines Parkway.
Close to the more southern exit at Happy Canyon Road, the city of Castle Pines will be creating Castle Pines Town Center, with new parks and commercial offerings. And a little closer to Castle Pines’ current shopping area with its King Soopers, you can tour Castle Pines Valley by Lennar — four show homes from two collections of large, single-family designs, for a neighborhood arranged adjacent to the town’s award-winning Elk Ridge Park, and its American Academy charter school.
Prices start from the $550s — a real price that could deliver one of three ranch plans that Lennar is offering, along with six family-sized two-story designs. All of those homes showcase Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” approach to finish-and-trim options — a higher-quality standard package that anticipates choices that typical buyers will generally always prefer.
On these new models, that package includes new “Home Automation” smarthome features, created in cooperation with Amazon Echo technology. When you walk into the master suite on a Grand Collection two-story model, you’ll be prompted to ask out loud “Alexa! Turn on Good Morning!” — then hear how the system would create your morning wake-up scenario from its many options. (Buy a home, and Amazon techs will help you activate the system).
There’s something else special about that final model you’ll tour: It’s Lennar’s new “Superhome” — showing six bedrooms, 4-1/2 baths and more than 4,100 square feet of finished space above ground — including a separate suite with its own entranceway and one-car garage for your parents, or for a kid that’s come home to live. Lennar has been offering these “Next Gen” designs for several years now, and one of the seven sales the builder already has in Castle Pines Valley since opening a month ago is for a Superhome, to buyers whose Florida inlaws are frequent visitors.
You can see the Castle Pines setting — more terrain, with plenty of Gambel oak and ponderosa — surroundings that strike buyers as more Colorado-like than you find in typical new-home areas. And you can experience the favorable commuter situation — just 20 minutes or less into the heart of the Denver Tech Center. Lennar’s Mary Connelly and Jennifer Kremer, who will show you around today, say that location is already attracting buyers from Castle Rock, who have a noticeably longer drive into work.

Wellington ranch plan from the Grand Collection — three bedrooms, three baths, more than 2,700 square feet plus a three-car garage, on track for prethanksgiving delivery, at $629,900. Also, a family-sized Stonehaven plan from the Monarch Collection — five bedrooms, four baths and a pocket office, with three-car tandem garage, $569,900.
To reach, take I-25 south past C-470 five miles to Exit 188, Castle Pines Parkway, and head west a half mile, past the Montessori School, to Lagae Road and turn south. At a traffic circle past the shopping center, go around to the second exit, then continue south on Lagae.
