• Justin Jackson ran for 144 yards and a touchdown and No. 23 Northweste­rn (9-3, 7-2) won its seventh straight, beating Illinois 42-17. Jackson finished the regular season with 1,154 yards, one of two Big Ten players (former Wisconsin star Ron Dayne) to top 1,000 yards for four straight seasons.

In the American Athletic. Riley Ferguson threw for three touchdowns and Darrell Henderson scored twice and rushed for 122 yards as No. 17 Memphis (10-1, 7-1, No. 20 CFP) dominated East Carolina (3-9, 2-6) 70-13.

In the SEC. Danny Etling passed 347 yards and three touchdowns and No. 19 LSU (9-3, 6-2) beat Texas A&M (7-5, 4-4) 45-21.

In the Pac-12. Myles Gaskin ran for 192 yards and four touchdowns, Washington forced four turnovers, and the No. 15 Huskies (10-2, 8-2, No. 17 CFP) beat No. 14 Washington State (9-3, 6-3, No. 13 CFP) 41-14.

• Royce Freeman set a Pac-12 record for career rushing touchdowns with 60 and Oregon (7-5, 4-5) routed Oregon State (1-11, 0-9) 69-10 in the 121st Civil War game. The sturdy senior now holds school career records for rushing (5,621), rushing touchdowns (60), total touchdowns (64) and 100-yard rushing games (31).

• Demario Richard ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns, Manny Wilkins threw for three more scores, and Arizona State (7-5, 6-3) beat archrival Arizona (7-5, 5-4) 42-30.

In the Mountain West. Marcus Mcmaryion threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns and Fresno State beat No. 25 Boise State 28-17 in a preview of the conference championsh­ip game. West champion Fresno State (9-3, 7-1) and Mountain winner Boise State (9-3, 7-1) had already wrapped up the division titles.

• Kelton Moore scored from the 1-yard line as Nevada (3-9, 3-5) drove for the winning score in the fourth quarter to defeat UNLV (5-7, 4-4) 23-16 in a season finale, keeping the Rebels from becoming bowl eligible. — The Associated Press
