Difference between Republicans and Dems on sexual harassment
“Al Franken Franken announces resignation from Senate amid allegations,” Dec. 7 news story.
It’s becoming increasingly apparent that there is now an interesting difference between Democrats and Republicans when it comes to accusations of sexual harassment.
Democrats will not in any way condone sexual harassment, even if accusations have not been proven. Just look at how the Democrats responded to accusations against Rep. John Conyers and Sen. Al Franken. Both are now resigning/retiring, even if the accusations have yet to be proven.
In contrast, look at Republicans who have been accused of harassment. Donald Trump has previously bragged about molesting women, yet gets no public condemnation from the GOP. Roy Moore, who has been accused of sexual harassment, if not overt pedophilia, has been totally endorsed in his run for the Senate by Trump and the GOP.
Democrats seem to care about accusations of sexual harassment against anyone, even their own. Republicans only seem to care about accusations against Democrats.

Sen. Al Franken has announced he will resign amid allegations of sexual assault, which, in my opinion, was the right thing for him to do. But I’d ask our senators, Cory Gardner and Michael Bennet: If you agree with removing Franken from office, why have you not stood up for Jessica Leeds, Ivana Trump, Kristin Anderson, Jill Harth, Victoria Hughes, Candace Smith, Temple Taggart McDowell, Cathy Heller, Karena Virginia, Mindy McGillivray, Natasha Stoynoff, Jennifer Murphy, Rachel Crooks, Ninni Laaksonen, Jessica Drake, Summer Zervos and Cassandra Searles by calling for President Donald Trump’s resignation? He is a predator and there should be a zero-tolerance policy for sexual abuse in our government. Stand up for what’s right. Call for Trump’s removal. Without your voice, you are condoning his behavior and are complicit with these assaults.
