Bedsole dies at age 76.

ANGELES» Hal Bedsole, LOS a consensus All-America receiver on Southern California’s undefeated 1962 national championsh­ip team and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, has died. He was 76.

USC said Bedsole died Friday in Arizona after being in declining health in recent years. His birthday was Thursday.

Saban getting votes.

Alabama coach Nick Saban received 264 write-in votes among the 21,000 cast during this month’s special U.S. Senate election in Alabama, according to most recent figures reported by al.com.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron was a write-in candidate, as well.

Tennessee Tech brought back Dewayne Alexander as the 12th head coach in program history.

Alexander played at Tennessee Tech, was an assistant coach and was acting head coach when Watson Brown resigned after the 2015 season.
