KELLER SCORES IN OT FOR COYOTES

ARIZ.» Clayton Keller GLENDALE, scored 4:33 into overtime, and the Coyotes rallied to beat the Capitals 3-2 on Friday night.

Arizona had lost seven in a row and 10-of-11. Christian Fischer tied the game with his ninth goal of the season with 1:01 to go in regulation, and Christian Dvorak also scored for the Coyotes.

First-place Washington had won four in a row. T.J. Oshie and Evgeny Kuznetsov scored for the Capitals, and Philipp Grubauer made 24 saves.

Max Domi set up Keller’s game-winner, skating in from the left side and deking a defender with a swooping move toward the middle. Grubauer stopped Domi’s shot, but Keller jumped on the rebound for his teamleadin­g 13th goal.

FRIDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

Jonathan Huberdeau scored two goals and James Reimer made 29 saves as the Panthers beat the Wild 4-2. Vincent Trocheck and Connor Brickley also scored for Florida, and Aleksander Barkov had two assists. It was the Panthers’ first victory over the Wild since a 2-1 win on Jan. 3, 2016. Minnesota dropped to 1-2 on its four-game trip. Ryan Suter and Daniel Winnik scored for the Wild, and Alex Stalock stopped 30 shots. … Evander Kane had a goal and assist, and the Sabres beat the Flyers 4-2 for their fourth victory in the last 20 games. Jack Eichel added two empty-netters, helping Buffalo hold on after Philadelph­ia scored twice in the final 2:10. Ryan O’Reilly also scored for the Sabres. … Byron Froese had a goal and an assist as the Canadiens beat the Flames 3-2.

Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews has been dealing with concussion symptoms after colliding with a teammate in a game this month. Matthews confirmed the nature of his latest injury Friday after participat­ing in his first practice in two weeks. He has missed six games since a 4-3 win over Pittsburgh on Dec. 9, when he took an accidental hit to the head from Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly. He also missed four games in November with what the team called an upperbody injury. Toronto has gone 2-4 in its latest stint without Matthews, who said he feels good, but the team has not indicated when he will return to game action.
