NFL Briefs BRADY DEFLECTS QUESTIONS

-

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady deflected questions Friday about a Boston Globe report that his personal trainer, Alex Guerrero, has been stripped of sideline access and can no longer fly on the team plane.

Brady said he hasn’t thought about how not having Guerrero on the sideline has affected him during games. That preceded a tense exchange with a reporter who asked for Brady’s reaction when coach Bill Belichick told him that Guerrero wouldn’t be allowed on the sideline.

“I don’t really agree with your question, so I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Brady said. “How do you know what he said?”

When asked if he was saying The Globe’s report was inaccurate, Brady replied: “I’m not saying anything. How do you say that (Belichick) said anything? You don’t know anything about that.”

Wagner back in action.

WASH.» Linebacker RENTON, Bobby Wagner practiced Friday and will play when the Seahawks face the Cowboys despite a hamstring problem.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll said Wagner is ahead of where he was last week when he did not practice and was a game-time decision against the Rams.

Jaguars thin at WR.

The Jaguars will be without leading receiver Marqise Lee and could be missing wideout Allen Hurns against San Francisco.

Lee, who has 56 receptions for 702 yards, was ruled out because of a sprained right ankle. He rolled his ankle in the first quarter vs. Houston last weekend and missed practice all week.

Hurns returned to practice this week for the first time since Week 10, but he was limited all three days.

Raiders’ Cooper returns.

CALIF.» Raiders ALAMEDA, quarterback Derek Carr hopes to get wide receiver Amari Cooper back in the lineup this weekend.

Cooper returned to practice on a limited basis Friday after sitting out last weekend’s loss to Dallas with a sprained ankle. He got hurt against Kansas City the previous week while blocking during a running play.
