- SUNDAY SUNDAE FARE DEAL LOTS OF PIZZAZZ WEIGHT GAIN TWISTED TALE

Celebrate New Year’s Eve on a sweet note, with this promo from BaskinRobbins. The ice cream shop ends its year-long “Celebrate 31” promo on Dec. 31. Choose a single scoop of your choice of any ice cream flavor (in a cup or cone) for $1.50. The offer is good on the flavor of the month, York Peppermint Pattie, as well. The deal continues in 2018 on the 31st of the month, so mark your calendar for January, March, May, July, August, October and December.

RTD helps riders ring in the New Year with a special gift. Its bus and light rail service are complimentary from 7 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 7 a.m. on New Year’s Day. Both services will run on the Sunday/holiday schedule for the two days. That means you can leave your car at home, avoid any slick driving conditions and parking hassles, and even sip an extra glass of bubbly. If you are headed to downtown Denver, make note of some special scheduling because of the fireworks displays. From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., the Free MallRide service on the 16th Street Mall will be limited and there will be no service on the D, F, and H light-rail lines between the Theatre District/Convention Center and 18th & California/Stout stations.

Everyone loves pizza, even moreso when there’s a big slice of savings. There are so many deals it’s often difficult to know what’s truly a deal. However, free is always best. Through Jan. 28, Papa John’s is serving up a crowd-pleasing offer — get a free pizza when you buy a pizza at regular menu price. The offer is valid on any specialty pizza, as well as any size or toppings. No promo code or coupon necessary — just order online (under “Specials”). Maximize the offer by joining its loyalty program Papa Rewards to earn points toward more free food.

Gain a few extra bucks by losing a few extra pounds. Kaiser Permanente’s Weigh and Win program offers a boost — we’re talking cash — for all Coloradans with its New Year’s weight-loss resolutions. The goal is to help participants lose weight and maintain that weight loss by paying out cash rewards. You can earn up to $150, based on how many pounds you drop. Benefit from daily emails packed with tips and meal plans, audio and video podcasts, and even access by phone or email to a certified personal trainer. Joining is quick, easy and free. Weigh and Win requires an initial visit at one of Kaiser’s kiosks and quarterly return visits for a weigh-in. Most kiosks are located at medical offices, libraries and recreation centers.

Pretzelmaker is getting salty with customers in the new year. For its third annual Customer Appreciation Month, the mall-based snack shop is thanking customers with a twisted deal. Every Tuesday in January, get an original salted (or unsalted) pretzel for just $1. (The snack usually sells for about $3.) Even better, there’s no limit. In addition, customers who take advantage of the $1 pretzel deal will also receive a coupon for free Pretzel Bites with purchase on their next visit. Mark your calendar for Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. pretzelmaker.com
