Briefs SLAY SUSPECT NAMED BY DPD

A suspect has been named in a downtown Denver stabbing death.

Investigat­ors are looking for Terry Lane Dunford, 40, in the death of 49-yearold Jeanna Leslie, according to police.

Leslie’s body was found early Wednesday morning in her residence at 1531 Stout St., the Rio Grande & A.T. Lewis Lofts. Leslie was stabbed multiple times, according to the Office of the Medical Examiner.

Police describe Dunford as a homeless white man, 6’ tall and 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with informatio­n on the stabbing, or on Dunford’s whereabout­s, is asked to call 911, or Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).

Denver man charged in 2015 slaying of his wife.

A Denver man has been charged with murder in the 2015 death of his wife.

Robert Feldman, 53, was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

The defendant is accused of murdering Stacey Feldman. Her body was found on March 1, 2015, in their home in the 3600 block of South Pontiac Way. She was 44.

The Office of the Medical Examiner was unable to determine the cause and manner of her death, according to a news release.

The arrest affidavit in the case has been sealed.

Feldman is being held without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday for an advisement hearing.

Brighton police are investigat­ing allegation­s that an Overland Trail Middle School teacher behaved in a sexually inappropri­ate manner with students at the school.

The teacher and another staff member have been placed on administra­tive leave by School District 27J, while police investigat­e the allegation­s against the teacher and whether the other staff member met their legal duties as a mandated reporter of a crime, police said in a news release Friday.

No charges have been filed at this point, police said.
