Easter is on its way. Here’s where to take the family to hunt for eggs
Hippity, hoppity, Easter’s nearly here, and with the holiday comes an egg-stravaganza of egg hunts all over the metro area.
Next weekend the Front Range will be hopping with events for the whole family, from aquatic hunts (bring a swimsuit and goggles) to traditional egg hunts in the park and photos with the big bunny himself.
The Easter egg hunts listed here are free unless otherwise noted. Remember to bring a basket or bucket for the kids to collect their eggs and treats.
And since candy-seeking kids can sweep an entire field of treats clean in a matter of minutes, arrive early to nab a good spot wherever you go. Happy egg hunting!

District Easter Egg Hunt. Calling all water babies! This is an aquatic egg hunt at Buchanan Pool. Wear your swimsuit, don your goggles and dive in to collect eggs and exchange them for candy. Bring a plastic bag or bucket to collect eggs. Parents must accompany children in the pool. Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro has events from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., including free professional photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts and activities. Easter egg hunt for kids ages 2 to 10 is at 2 p.m. Arrive early to register. 7970 Northfield Blvd., Denver Belmar’s Roaming Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny will roam the streets of Belmar, along W. Berkeley Lake Park Egg Hunt. Get ready to dash at the Berkeley Lake Park hunt. Participants line up 9:45 a.m., and the rope drops at 10 a.m. sharp. Giveaway bags for the first 200 attendees will be packed full of coupons and goodies from local businesses, and after the hunt, the kids can get a free picture with the Easter Bunny. This hunt is for kids of all ages, and kids are grouped by age into separate areas. 9:30-11 a.m., hunt goes on rain, snow or shine. Broomfield Eggstravaganza. The Eggstravaganza, in its 24th year, has a new location. Meet by the pond at Broomfield Amphitheater at 11:30 a.m. to march with the Easter Bunny to Community Park, where the Egg Scramble will take place on the park’s lawns. The hunt is for children 8 and younger, and kids will be divided by age group. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the Scramble will be held at Broomfield Community Center. E. Faith Mountain “No Hunt” Easter Eggstravaganza. Instead of a traditional egg hunt, this event has bounce houses, cookie decorating, a magic show, a free pancake breakfast and more than 20,000 candyfilled eggs. In the parking lot, decorated cars will have carnival games where kids of all ages can earn eggs. 10 a.m.-1 p.m., 12344 W.
