DENVER ZOO’S BABY SLOTH HAS A NAME – AND IT’S A SWEET ONE
Denver Zoo’s newest sloth superstar is cute enough to eat. But, you know, don’t do that.
Officials revealed the sloth’s name — Baby Ruth — and gender — it’s a girl! — in a Friday twitter video featuring sloth fan Ellie Ferris, a patient at Children’s Hospital Colorado.
Baby Ruth and her parents, Charlotte and Elliot, have been hanging around their habitat in Bird World — bonding and making people squeal — since their February public debut.
The baby girl clung to her mama immediately after birth and will remain attached to her for at least six months. Sloths are nocturnal animals that spend 15 to 20 hours a day sleeping.
