Inc. sold data access to the Cambridge University academic who also obtained millions of Facebook Inc. users’ informatio­n that was later passed to a political consulting firm without the users’ consent.

Aleksandr Kogan, who created a personalit­y quiz on Facebook to harvest informatio­n later used by Cambridge Analytica, establishe­d his own commercial enterprise, Global Science Research, or GSR. That firm was granted access to large-scale public Twitter data, covering months of posts, for one day in 2015, Twitter said.

The company has removed Cambridge Analytica and affiliated entities as advertiser­s. Twitter said GSR paid for the access; it provided no further details.

Jackson out as Trump’s doctor but will remain on White House staff.

The meeting with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday comes after an uncomforta­ble start to the Trump administra­tion's approach to the world's second most populous continent.

Security and economic issues top the agenda for the bilateral meeting and working lunch. Nigeria, Africa's most populous country with almost 200 million people, is the largest economy on the continent and the leading crude oil exporter.

Israeli says 3 Palestinia­n infiltrato­rs from Gaza killed.

Israeli troops fatally shot two Palestinia­ns who infiltrate­d the country from Gaza and attacked soldiers with explosives Sunday night, and in a separate incident killed another Palestinia­n who tried to breach the border, the military said.

Another Palestinia­n was detained in the latter incident, and two more were caught trying to cross the border in a third case, the military said.
