Singer and songwriter Neko Case long ago shed the alt-country and indie labels that defined her early, hipster-aided career. And while she still counts plenty of tastemakers and critics as fans, her stunning breadth — from the American Songbook to roots, folk, pop, punk and experimental music — has endeared her to countless new fans over the two-plus decades since her solo debut, “The Virginian.” She’ll play the Gothic Theatre on July 11 as part of the tour behind new album “Hell-On,” her seventh solo effort. Tickets for the 16and-up show are on sale at 10 a.m. June 1.
