Briefs 1 ARRESTED IN KILLING IN COLORADO SPRINGS

SPRINGS» Colorado COLORADO Springs police on Sunday arrested a 19-yearold man in connection with the killing of another man the day before.

The shooting happened in the early hours of Saturday near in the west side of Colorado Springs.

When police arrived about 6 a.m. they found a man lying in the street. He was taken to a hospital where he died.

The identity of the victim was not immediatel­y released.

Police were investigat­ing whether the shooting was related to a nearby rollover crash.

Boulder County AIDS Project to offer free testing.

Boulder County AIDS Project will be offering walk-in HIV tests on Wednesday in observance of National HIV Testing Day.

Sessions are available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at BCAP’s office on 14th Street in Boulder. Screenings can take from half an hour to an hour, and include questions about sexual health, mental health and substance abuse as well as discussion about how to reduce risk of acquiring HIV.

Participan­ts can request an anonymous screening, where they do not have to provide their name and their contact informatio­n is not collected. This service is not unique to BCAP and not available at medical facilities, where clients are required to provide identifyin­g informatio­n. All BCAP screenings are confidenti­al and cannot be accessed by employers or insurance companies.

Louisville police arrest 2, searching for 3 more in car thefts.

A string of car thefts and break-ins have taken place in Louisville within the past several months, with 16 car thefts occurring since the beginning of March.

Louisville police have arrested two suspects and are searching for three others in relation to the crimes. Vincent Arthur McGlone, 50, was arrested on suspicion of identity theft, theft and unauthoriz­ed use of a financial transactio­n device, while Derek Huff, 27, was arrested on criminal trespass and theft charges.

Arrest warrants have been issued for two other men, Andrew Seth Tuton, 46, and Mark David Elliott, 48. Additional­ly, police seek Stephanie Diane Karen Larson.
