Broncos go digital with game tickets

- By Kyle Fredrickson

Imagine this ruined Sunday: A family shows up to a Broncos’ game with tickets bought from an unverified online seller only to discover they’ve been fooled.

“We saw fake tickets at every game last year,” said Clark Wray, the Broncos’ senior director of ticket strategy and analytics. “To me, as someone who has been in the ticket office, that is probably one of the most disheartening things when you see Broncos fans bringing their kids to their first Broncos game — and then being turned away at the gate.”

So the Broncos decided to do something about it.

Beginning Saturday for Denver’s 7 p.m. preseason opener against Minnesota, the Broncos are eliminating all paper tickets in favor of digital tickets available on mobile devices for entry into all games. The team provided a list of responses to frequently asked questions regarding the change with football season just on the horizon.

What is mobile entry?

The Broncos have adopted mobile entry for all football games. Your tickets will be accessible through the free “Denver Broncos 365” mobile application and can be saved to your smart phone or mobile device. Present your digital ticket at the gate for entry into the stadium.

Can I still print my tickets from home?

No. Tickets for all Broncos games will no longer include a PDF printout option.

How do I get the Denver Broncos 365 app?

It can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices as well as online from your mobile web browser at www.denverbroncos.com/ downloads/mobileapp.

How do I manage my tickets on the app? Open the Denver

Broncos 365 app and tap on the “Tickets” button at the bottom of the screen. Then tap on “Account Manager” and enter your email address and password. This is the same email and password that you use to log into your Broncos Account Manager. Once you have logged into your account, you can view, transfer or resell your tickets right from your phone.

To be eligible for seat upgrades, accounts must refrain from viewing, transferring or posting tickets for sale on the TicketExchange until the seat improvement process is complete.

Can I have multiple tickets on a single phone?

Yes. After opening your tickets, swipe left and right to view each individually.

What if I don’t have a smart phone?

The Broncos’ ticket office, located on the south end of the stadium, is providing digitized cards that can be scanned just as smart phones when entering the stadium. Regular ticket office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays before home games.

How far in advance can I access my tickets?

When your account is paid in full, your tickets will be available to manage.

Should I continue printing my parking pass through my account manager site?

Yes. Parking passes will need to be printed just like last season. Printed parking passes assist the Denver Police Department and the Broncos parking attendants’ direct traffic around the stadium. Ticket holders can download and print their parking passes by logging on to their Broncos Account Manager.

What if I need help on game day or right now?

There will be three mobile assistant centers set up beneath tents surrounding the stadium on game day as well as staff near every gate to address mobile entry questions. The ticket office is also open during games for help. You must provide a valid ID for the name on the account.
