WENTZ OR FOLES? PEDERSON WON’T SAY UNTIL SEPT. 6 GAME

PHILADELPH­IA» Eagles coach Doug Pederson doesn’t plan to reveal whether Carson Wentz or Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles will start the season opener at quarterbac­k until 90 minutes before the game.

Wentz has been recovering from surgery last December to repair a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. He is practicing, but hasn’t been medically cleared for contact.

Foles struggled in two preseason games and won’t play Thursday night against the New York Jets. The offense didn’t score any points on 14 drives with Foles under center in the preseason. However, he was missing nearly all starters at the skill positions.

Pederson indicated he would make a decision Friday, but doesn’t plan to disclose which quarterbac­k will line up when Philadelph­ia hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 6 until game day.

Bengals agree to deals with DE Dunlap, DT Atkins.

CINCINNATI» The Bengals agreed to contract extensions Tuesday with defensive tackle Geno Atkins and end Carlos Dunlap, their top pass rushers who were entering the final years on their deals.

Dunlap tweeted about the “Back to Back” deals, which weren’t immediatel­y confirmed by the Bengals. Atkins’ agents confirmed on Twitter he got a four-year deal , while Dunlap was extended for three years . The deals reportedly could be worth a combined $110 million if all terms are fulfilled.

Titans get linebacker Correa in trade with Ravens.

TENN.» The Tennessee Titans know their newest player very well with a scouting report coming from their new defensive coordinato­r and not the quarterbac­k.

The Titans acquired linebacker Kamalei Correa from the Baltimore Ravens for an undisclose­d draft pick Tuesday. Correa played the past two seasons for Dean Pees, who had been the Ravens’ defensive coordinato­r before coming out of retirement to work for first-year head coach Mike Vrabel in Tennessee.

Vanderbilt safety suspended for opener after arrest.

NASHVILLE,

TENN.» Vanderbilt sophomore safety Zaire Jones has been suspended for the Commodores’ season opener with Middle Tennessee after being arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against an off-duty police officer.

Coach Derek Mason said Tuesday that Jones will not be available Saturday night due to disciplina­ry reasons.

Jones was arrested Aug. 23 and released on $10,000 bond. According to a court affidavit, the native of Meridian, Mississipp­i, was trying to drive around a barricade near Vanderbilt Stadium hours before a Beyonce and Jay-Z concert when stopped by an off-duty police officer working security. Jones hit Charles Harrison’s left knee with the front corner of his car before parking nearby and being arrested.

Phillies get Bautista from Mets.

PHILADELPH­IA» The Philadelph­ia Phillies acquired veteran slugger Jose Bautista from the New York Mets on Tuesday for a player to be named or cash. Bautista has batted .196 with 11 homers and 42 RBIs for the Braves and Mets this season. A six-time allstar for Toronto from 2010-15, the 37-year-old Bautista has 342 career homers. The right-handed hitter is expected to come off the bench for the Phillies.

Dream beats Mystics 78-75.

ATLANTA» Alex Bentley came off the bench to score 21 points and the Atlanta Dream evened their WNBA semifinal playoff series against Washington with a 78-75 victory. But the game was marred in the closing minutes when Mystics star Elena Delle Donne went down with what looked to be a serious knee injury. Delle Donne had another huge game with 27 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, two blocks and a steal.
