Isabella Parker was convicted in July of theft, criminal exploitation and criminal negligence resulting in serious bodily injury — charges all involving an atriskadult.
Jefferson County prosecutors say the 48yearold Parker had left her father alone without food and water to go to Black Hawk to gamble with her boyfriend in February 2017. They say she also stole $13,000 from him.
Ben Parker was discovered by his housekeeper unable to sit up or move across the floor.
Prosecutors say he had an acute kidney injury, severe dehydration, muscle breakdown and brain confusion. He died two months later.
