Overnight temperatures in the city have been unseasonably warm and one, on Thursday, was also a record breaker. The low temperature Thursday was 64 degrees in Denver. That set a new highestlow temperature for the date, Sept. 13, breaking the previous record of 62 set in 1927.

The heat is expected to sizzle through the weekend. The recordhigh temperature for the city on Sept. 15 is 92 degrees, set in 2000. The forecast high for Saturday in Denver is 94 degrees, according to the weather service.

Sunday’s forecast high temperature is 92 degrees and Monday’s is 91 degrees. A relative cool down is set for Tuesday, when the high temperature forecast backs off to 88 degrees.
