Hill does it all.

Kansas City has a new quarterback (Patrick Mahomes), new receiver (Sammy Watkins) and the league’s defending rushing champion (Kareem Hunt). But it was the Tyreek Hill Show in last week’s 3828 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Hill scored on a 91yard punt return and 58yard catch — in the first nine minutes. He finished with seven catches for 169 yards and two touchdown receptions.

Darnold makes history.

Kudos to the Jets for not wasting time. They started rookie quarterback Sam Darnold against Detroit last week. At 21 years, 97 days old, Darnold became the youngest quarterback to start a Week 1 game in the Super Bowl Era. The previous youngest was New England’s Drew Bledsoe (21 years, 203 days) in 1993. Darnold’s first pass was intercepted and returned for a touchdown, but he settled in to complete 16 of 21 for 198 yards, two touchdowns and a 116.8 rating in the Jets’ 4817 pasting of Detroit.

Buffalo’s mess.

Bills coach Sean Mcdermott really had no choice — he had to move to firstround rookie Josh Allen after Nathan Peterman was 5of18 passing for 24 yards and two interceptions in last week’s 473 loss at Baltimore. That’s a passer rating of 0.0. Per the Buffalo News, Mcdermott used the phrase, “right move,” or some variation of it 13 times during his Wednesday news conference.

Stealing a tie.

Pittsburgh was minus5 in turnover ratio last week at Cleveland but still managed a tie. Since 1970, it was only the ninth time a team did not lose (eight wins and one tie) despite being minus5. The Broncos beat Kansas City in 1985 and tied Green Bay in 1987, despite being minus5.
