Thank you Pam Nissler

-

We are writing on the retirement of Pam Nissler as executive director of the Jefferson County Public Library to express our admiration and gratitude for her leadership through some of the most trying times we have experienced in our 25 years of library advocacy.

Because of her leadership and with the dedication and commitment of her staff, Nissler steered the library on a difficult but effective course, balancing the sometimescompeting needs of patrons, staff, county government, and the community, resulting in the first Jefferson County voterapproved increase in the Library’s mill levy in 30 years.

JCPL now has the security and stability to weather future economic storms while providing firstclass library services to county residents.

Nissler proved that libraries are highly valued throughout the community and are a unique exception to the presentday low public trust in government.

We are grateful to the library and to former director Nissler. Tom and Alice Atkins, Golden
