What are Stapleton’s plans?

-

Re: “How Walker Stapleton can win,” Sept. 23 news story

Frankly, I was a little disappointed by Nic Garcia’s article on how Walker Stapleton can win. Not so much the article but it looks like he plans on winning by continuing those sometimes silly negative ads.

Many of us, I believe, whether Republican, Democrat, or independent love Colorado to work and play because of its beauty. We have heard nothing — other than following Trump’s footsteps — if he has any ideas to protect us with clean water and clear air.

Does Stapleton deny or believe in climate change and what would he push for to deal with continued breaking temperatures and resultant increases of wildfires, floods, and droughts?

His ads push a “don’t touch my tax breaks” message, which has gone mostly for the rich while increasing the deficit.

How would he help us with increased food costs and increased home and auto insurance?

He does nicely say he would help teachers get pay raises and fix our roads, bridges, etc. And he is going to do it without tax increases. How?

And universal health care may not be the right way to go at the present time but does Stapleton thus believe that only certain people should have access to health care?

Lets hear a little what Stapleton would do if he wants to be governor, if he has any ideas. So far, in my opinion, nothing. Wayne Wathen, Highlands Ranch
