Abythenumbers look at the first quarter of the Broncos’ season:

1. Five offensive players have not missed a snap (268 of 268): Quarterback Case Keenum, left tackle Garett Bolles, left guard Ron Leary, center Matt Paradis and right guard Connor Mcgovern. Safety Justin Simmons is the lone defensive player to not miss a snap (272 of 272).

2. Drive engineering (offense): The Broncos have nine threeandouts, seven 10play possessions and six scoring drives of at least 75 yards.

3. Drive engineering (defense): Opposing offenses have 12 threeandouts, seven 10play possessions and seven scoring drives of at least 75 yards.

4. Explosive plays (passes of at least 16 yards/rushes of at least 12 yards): The offense has 35 — 21 passes and 14 rushes, and the defense has allowed 27 — 23 passes and four rushes. The Broncos had 11 explosive plays (five passes/six rushes) in last week’s loss to Kansas City.

5. Pass rush: The Broncos have rushed at least five players on 50 of 174 dropbacks (28.7 percent). They have totaled 44 sacks/hits/pressures — 10 sacks, 13 hits and 21 pressures. Linebacker Von Miller leads the team with 10 (including four sacks).

6. Pass protection: Opponents have rushed at least five players at Keenum on 47 of his 162 dropbacks (29.0 percent). Keenum is 22of42 passing for 267 yards and one interception against extra pass rushers.

7. Breakdown of the nine sacks allowed by the Broncos: Bolles has 3½, and there are one apiece by Paradis, running back Phillip Lindsay, right tackle Jared Veldheer and a coverage sack and a halfsack apiece by Leary, tight end Jeff Heuerman and running back Devontae Booker.

8. Long and short of it: Keenum is 14of31 passing on attempts that travel 16 or more yards in the air. He is 22of33 passing on attempts that don’t cross the line of scrimmage. I’ve booked the Broncos with six dropped passes — five by receiver Demaryius Thomas and one by receiver Courtland Sutton.

9. Redzone offense: Among the 28 quarterbacks with at least 10 red zone pass attempts, Keenum ranks last with a 43.2 rating (5of11 for 26 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions). The Broncos are 6of11 in the red zone.

10. Missed tackles: I’ve booked the Broncos with 20 missed tackles in four games — Simmons 3, linebacker/defensive end Bradley Chubb 3, cornerback Adam Jones 3, cornerback Chris Harris 3, safety Darian Stewart 2, cornerback Bradley Roby 2 and one each for Domata Peko, defensive end Derek Wolfe and linebackers Brandon Marshall and Shane Ray.

11. Thirddown offense: The Broncos are 20of53 (37.7 percent, 21st in the league). The breakdown — 10of15 (3 or fewer yards to go), 4of18 (47 yards to go) and 6of20 (8 or more yards to go).

12. Third down defense: Like the Broncos’ offense, opponents are 20of53 (37.7 percent, 17th in the league). The breakdown — 9of19 (3 or fewer yards to go), 5of10 (47 yards to go) and 6of24 (8 or more yards to go).

13. Penalties: The Broncos’ 29 enforced penalties are tied with Arizona and Oakland for 14thmost in the league. Bolles and Miller lead the team with three enforced penalties apiece. Thomas, Mcgovern, Leary, nose tackle Peko and linebacker Todd Davis have two penalties each. The most common penalty is offensive holding (nine).

14. An accurate foot: Kicker Brandon Mcmanus has made all nine of his extrapoints and all seven of his field goals. The field goals were from 51 and 53 yards vs. Seattle, 39 and 36 yards vs. Oakland and 42, 34 and 46 yards vs. Kansas City. On kickoffs, he has 14 touchbacks in 19 attempts (73.7 percent) and 16 kickoffs have reached the end zone.
