O’REILLY’S HAT TRICK LEADS BLUES OVER ’CANES

ST. LOUIS Ryan O’Reilly saw all the hats flying on the ice and had to think for a moment about what to do.

O’Reilly notched his first NHL hat trick and Robby Fabbri added his first goal in almost two years, lifting the St. Louis Blues to a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night.

“It’s never happened before, so I didn’t know how to act,” O’Reilly said. “It’s been a really long time. I saw a lot of nice hats out there on the ice.”

O’Reilly has five goals in the last four games. He extended his scoring streak to eight games with seven goals and eight assists.

Rangers 5, Canadiens 3.

YORK» Neal Pionk scored the tiebreakin­g goal on a sensationa­l, end-to-end rush late in the third period and the Rangers rallied to beat the Canadiens 5-3 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight win.

Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider each had a goal and an assist, Tony DeAngelo and Pavel Buchnevich also scored, and Kevin Hayes had three assists for the Rangers. Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves.

Lightning 5, Oilers 2.

FLA.» Nikita Kucherov had two goals and an assist and Andrei Vasilevski­y made 33 saves for Tampa Bay.

Steven Stamkos had a goal and two assists, and Brayden Point and Yanni Gourde also scored for the Lightning.

Blue Jackets 4, Stars 1.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 27 saves to lift Columbus. Anthony Duclair, Markus Nutivaara, Nick Foligno and Ryan Murray scored for the Blue Jackets.

Senators 7, Devils 3.

» Mark Stone had two goals and three assists, Colin White scored twice and the Senators beat the New Jersey Devils 7-3 on Tuesday night in their first game since the emergence of an embarrassi­ng viral video.

Red Wings 3, Canucks 2, SO.

DETROIT» Dylan Larkin scored the only goal in a shootout to give the Detroit Red Wings a 3-2 comeback win over the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night.

Maple Leafs 3, Golden Knights 1.

TORONTO» Frederik Andersen made 36 saves to lift Toronto.

Connor Brown, Mitch Marner and Nazem Kadri scored for Toronto (10-5-0). Brown also had an assist. — The Associated Press
