LEONARD LEADS CU WOMEN PAST WAVES

Senior guard Kennedy Leonard came close to a triple double to lead the Colorado women to an 80-65 win over Pepperdine on Tuesday night in a battle of unbeatens.

Leonard had 18 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds for the Buffs (7-0). The Waves fell to 3-1.

Southern Illinois 82, Colorado State 67.

Anthony Bonner and Kris Martin each scored 15 points for the Rams (4-3), but it wasn’t enough against the Salukis (4-3), who were led by guard Armon Fletcher’s gamehigh 20 points.

Myreon Jones scored 13 of his 18 points in the second half to lead Penn State to a 63-62 upset win over No. 13 Virginia Tech on Tuesday.

Caleb Martin had 21 points and twin brother Cody Martin scored 20 for Nevada.

Freshman IOWA CITY, IOWA guard Joe Wieskamp had 18 points and 11 rebounds, Nicholas Baer scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half for the Hawkeyes.

No. 22 Wisconsin 79, North Carolina State 75.
