Each month the South Suburban Public Art Committee selects local artists to display their work at three of recreation centers. The exhibits are intended to support and promote South Suburban’s mission to enrich the lives of all its residents and encourage a legacy of art to be enjoyed and appreciate­d. All artwork is available for purchase. Residence: Centennial Medium: Paintings Collection: Bouzaine’s framed portraits and landscapes capture the interest of all those viewing her paintings. Her skill allows her to paint with pastels, oil, and acrylics.

Buck Recreation Center, Aug. 1-31 Residence: Lakewood Medium: Photograph­s Collection: Winn’s photograph­y is a study of the relationsh­ip of detail, its interactio­n with color, and lighting to create what is perceptual­ly beautiful. These images range from extreme close-ups to vast landscape and dreamlike images.

Lone Tree Recreation Center, Aug.1-31 Residence: Highlands Ranch Medium: Paintings Collection: Madhubani and Warli tribal art from the country of India is Gadgil’s specialty using acrylics and canvas. Her Wari style is from the west coast of India and features tribal people and their day to day life. And her Madhubani is from northern India and displays mythology with the use of colorful interpreta­tions of nature.
