MAN DIES IN SHOOTING AT LAKEWOOD 7-ELEVEN
A man shot multiple times at a convenience store in Lakewood late Sunday died at the scene.
At about 11:50 p.m., police were called to a 7-Eleven, 1107 S. Sheridan Blvd., on reports of a shooting, according to a news release. When officers arrived they found 28-year-old Jesus Arambula-Terrones, of Denver, dead at the scene.
The gunman fled the scene, police said. He is described as a white or Hispanic man who was wearing a long-sleeve white shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. The suspect’s head was shaved on the sides with longer hair on top. He was armed with a black handgun.
Person found dead in travel trailer that caught fire.
A person who was found dead in a trailer that was set on fire in Boulder County is suspected of igniting it, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
Dispatchers received a report of a travel trailer that had caught fire at 10:09 a.m. Sunday in the 7400 block of Valmont Road in unincorporated Boulder County, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The trailer was fully engulfed by the time first responders arrived. Investigators believe, based on their preliminary investigation, that the person who was found dead may have started the fire.
Pitkin County Jail inmate died by suicide, sheriff says.
A Woody Creek woman who recently had been found incompetent to stand trial after a long history of theft and drunken driving died by suicide Sunday inside the Pitkin County Jail, officials said Monday.
Jillian White, 64, was discovered in her cell at 6:18 p.m. Sunday “unconscious, unresponsive,” according to a news release from the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office.
She was last checked on between 15 minutes and 30 minutes before, when a jail deputy saw her making a phone call, Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo said.
