Takeout can help you with Easter, Passover celebrations

- By Josie Sexton

You’d be forgiven if you forgot about two holidays coming up this week: Passover, which starts on the evening of April 8, and Easter on April 12. Whether you lost track of the month, couldn’t find ingredients at the store or just wanted to take this year off while supporting a local restaurant, here are seven options in town. And if you’re all set at home, why not donate a meal to a friend or family in need?

The Bindery is preparing a huge Easter brunch spread to order a la carte or as a set meal for pickup or delivery. Pastries and desserts include macarons, cream puffs, carrot cake and Easter brioche (or Pane di Pasqua). Chefs’ specials range from bagels to omelet boxes to feed families of six (or one, with lots of leftovers

at the end). Family brunches with ham or lamb and a handful of sides feed 2-10 people ($55-$125), and you can choose mimosas, bloody marys or wine bottles to add on. Call 303-993-2364 to order by Friday. 1817 Central St.

Morin chef and owner Max MacKissock will send you and yours home with a nearly-complete Easter brunch this weekend. For $40 per person, you’ll get slices of smoked ham, breakfast sausage, biscuits and jam, blueberry French toast, scrambled eggs and asparagus with a charred ramp vinaigrette. Morin also provides ingredients for mimosas, and you’ll have “detailed instructions and tips to make sure that your brunch is as effortless as if Max was in your kitchen himself.” Orders must be placed on Tock by Friday afternoon, with pickup and delivery available on

Saturday. 1600 15th St., 303-6230534, bit.ly/2JLyB20
