INJURED MOUNTAIN BIKER RESCUED

A 45-year-old man from Boulder was rescued Saturday afternoon after crashing while riding his mountain bike in Lefthand Canyon, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was injured while riding on a singletrac­k trail in the area of the 4,000 block of Lefthand Canyon Drive, according to the sheriff’s office. The man rode off a small drop, landed sideways and flipped off his bike in a ravine.

Rescuers located him with assistance from his riding partner and carried him to the trailhead in a litter, according to the sheriff’s office. He was taken to a Boulder area hospital by his wife.
