Man killed in Arvada shooting; suspect in custody.

A man was killed in a shooting in Arvada on Saturday and another man was taken into custody at the scene, according to Arvada police.

The shooting happened inside the front area of a home in the 7800 block of Marshall Street around 4:45 p.m., Detective David Snelling said. He said the suspect and the victim knew each other and may have been related.

An argument preceded the shooting, Snelling said, but he did not know what the argument was about. The victim and suspect have not yet been publicly identified.

There is no ongoing danger to the public, Snelling said.
