Senzatela has been the Rockies’ most consistent starter, sporting a 1.11 WHIP with a .247 batting average against. He was excellent in his last outing, shutting out the Padres for seven innings at Coors Field, allowing seven hits, striking out three and walking one. Senzatela, however, was pounded the last time he pitched at Dodger Stadium on Aug. 23. The right- hander became the ninth Rockies pitcher to allow four homers in a road game and the first Colorado pitcher to give up four homers at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles romped to an 11- 3 win, swatting seven homers overall. May, 22, is one of the bright young pitchers in the game. He didn’t factor into the decision in the Dodgers’ 6- 2 loss to the Rangers last Friday, but he pitched pretty well, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three. He pitched well on Aug. 22 in Los Angeles’s 4- 3 win over the Rockies at Dodger Stadium, allowing one run on two hits over five innings. The lone run was a home run by Sam Hilliard. Trending: The Rockies’ team road ERA ( 3.17) ranks second in the National League and fourth in the majors. The Rockies have a .215 batting average against on the road, ranking fifth in the majors.

At issue: First baseman Daniel Murphy, who has lost playing time to Josh Fuentes, has struggled on the road where he’s batting .200 ( 9- for45) with one home run. On Colorado’s last road trip, he went 1- for- 14.
