Cushenberry starting center on depth chart
A week ahead of their season opener against Tennessee, the Broncos released their first unofficial depth chart of the season Monday and rookie Lloyd Cushenberry is listed as the starting center.
Cushenberry’s practice time with the first- team offense picked up late in training camp when Austin Schlottmann had to slide over to right guard due to Graham Glasgow’s right ankle injury. Cushenberry, a third- round pick from LSU, will be the Broncos’ third Week 1 center in as many years.
At the second receiver spot, first- round pick Jerry Jeudy is listed as a co- starter with Tim Patrick. Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay were both listed at starting running back.
On defense, rookie cornerback Michael Ojemudia is listed as a backup to Bryce Callahan despite missing a good portion of camp with a quad injury. On returns, Diontae Spencer is listed as the starter on both punts and kickoffs. The backups are rookie Tyrie Cleveland ( kickoffs) and Callahan ( punts).
