Leadership Team to Take University of Denver’s Graduate Healthcare Programs to New Heights
As the health industry continues to quickly evolve, the University of Denver’s University College is pleased to be at the forefront of meeting community needs through its graduate health programs.
To continue that mission, an innovative leadership team has taken the helm. This experienced and dynamic team of healthcare professionals ensure the university’s offerings lead the way in educating and preparing students to work in a variety of roles across the health industry. Bobbie Kite, Ph.D., has accepted the role of Director of Healthcare Programming, helping to shape new opportunities and grow both the Healthcare Management and Health Informatics programs.
“Our blend of industry partnerships, research, and practical application remains our core competitive advantage, and our exponential learning opportunities continue to make us a strong choice for students,” she said. Rachel Rogers, MSSp, has accepted the Academic Director role for the Healthcare Management program. Rogers’ expertise and experience, including RN Informatics Specialist at Denver Health, have been integral in advancing the Healthcare Management program and creating the Health Informatics program.
“With this new leadership structure, we can extend our reach locally and nationally through partnerships with health industry organizations, collaborations with other departments, and an impressive cadre of faculty who bring direct expertise from work to our classrooms,” said Rogers.
Jeff Weide, DBA, has been named the Academic Director for the Health Informatics graduate program. Weide offers a wide range of experience in healthcare leadership, project management, systems thinking, and strategic planning. He recently provided operational management for Colorado’s COVID rapid response testing program.
“My goal is to develop a program that keeps pace with innovation while providing students with the critical thinking skills that employers want within health informatics, digital health, and health data science,” he said.
