A 23-year-old woman related to a suspect in the Green Valley Ranch arson that killed five members of a Senegalese family was arrested Friday on federal drug and gun charges, according to an arrest affidavit.

Tanya Bui, 23, is charged with possession with intent to distribute less than 50 kilograms of marijuana and possession of firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Colorado.

Investigators from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tied Bui to the Truckee Street fire through a cellphone that belonged to one of the suspects in that fire. The arrest affidavit identified Bui as being related to one of the teen suspects and paying for his phone service but does not elaborate on the relationship.

Denver Police announced Wednesday the arrest of three teenagers on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with the Aug. 5 arson fire in Green Valley Ranch that killed Djibril Diol; his wife, Adja; and their 2-yearold daughter, Khadija Diol; as well as his sister, Hassan Diol; and her infant daughter, Hawa Beye.

The arrests were the culmination of a six-month investigation by Denver homicide detectives with assistance from the Denver Fire Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Secret Service.

The crime that sent fear through many Senegalese people in Colorado is shrouded in secrecy as police withheld most details, including the suspects’ names, because the three are juveniles.

Two 16-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy were arrested Wednesday morning at their homes in Jefferson County, police said.

The affidavit said Bui was conducting drug sales over Snapchat.
