Nov. 1: Reinstated outfielder Ian Desmond to the roster after Desmond sat out 2020 season.

Nov. 25: Traded right-hander Jeff Hoffman and right-hander Case Williams (their fourthroun­d pick in 2020) to the Cincinnati Reds for righthande­r Robert Stephenson and left-handed-hitting outfield prospect Jameson Hannah.

Dec. 2: Non-tendered outfielder David Dahl, catcher Tony Wolters and right-hander Chi Chi González. González later signed a minor league deal with the Rockies with an invitation to spring training.

Dec. 3: Acquired left-hander Yoan Aybar from Boston Red Sox in exchange for 2019 12thround pick Christian Koss. Aybar was added to the 40man roster.

Dec. 10: Selected right-hander Jordan Sheffield from the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Rule 5 Draft. Sheffield must remain on the Rockies’ big-league roster in 2021.

Jan. 11: Signed free-agent second baseman Hunter Stovall, free-agent righthande­r Joe Harvey and freeagent right-hander Zac Rosscup to minor league contracts with invitation­s to spring training.

Jan. 20: Signed free-agent infielder Chris Owings to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Feb. 1: Traded third baseman Nolan Arenado to the St. Louis Cardinals for left-hander Austin Gomber, third baseman Elehuris Montero, shortstop Mateo Gil, and right-handers Tony Locey and Jake Sommers, plus cash considerat­ions.

Feb. 11: Signed first baseman Greg Bird to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.

The Suns have won eight of their past nine games and improved to 16-9. They got a big game from their bench against Philadelph­ia, especially from Dario Saric, who scored 15 points in his first game back after missing 13 straight.

Joel Embiid had 35 points on 12of-23 shooting for the Sixers.

The NBA Finals MVP in both title runs, Durant missed his initial three shots before knocking down a 3-pointer at the 5:49 mark of the first quarter and finished 8 for 19 from the floor and 1 of 6 on 3s.

Stephen Curry didn’t have his best stroke either, going 10 of 17 for 27 points and 2 for 9 from deep as cold-shooting Golden State lost its third straight to the Nets.
