ALL-star captaIns: It’s LeBron James vs. KevIn Durant

The voters have spoken: They wanted LeBron James of the reigning champion Los Angeles Lakers to be an All-Star captain, again.

So, he is. And Brooklyn’s Kevin Durant will be his opposition.

James and Durant were revealed Thursday as the leading fan votegetter­s in the Western and Eastern Conference­s for the All-Star Game, meaning they’ll be captains for the matchup in Atlanta on March 7. James will start for the 17th time, extending his record, and Durant is an All-Star for the 11th time.

Only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (19) and Kobe Bryant (18) have more total All-Star selections than James.

STAT E LIN E ,N EV. moved up the starting time of the outdoor game Sunday between Boston and Philadelph­ia at Lake Tahoe by one hour to avoid the bright sunshine forecast for later in the afternoon.

The game at Edgewood Tahoe Resort will start at 11 a.m. PST (noon MST) instead of the originally scheduled noon local start.

The league made the announceme­nt Thursday night, saying it was in the interest of player safety “due to Sunday’s forecast of sunlight with no cloud cover.”

The Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights will play on the specially built rink Saturday, followed a day later by the Bruins and Flyers.

QB Joe Milton enters transfer portal, leaving Michigan.

A NN A R B OR, MI C H.» Michigan quarterbac­k Joe Milton has entered the transfer portal, depleting coach Jim Harbaugh’s depth at the position.

Milton wrote on Twitter that he will have three years of eligibilit­y remaining as a graduate transfer.

He won the starting job with the Wolverines last year after beating out Dylan McCaffrey. The brother of Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey chose not to come back to the program for a fourth year in 2020. He transferre­d last month to play for his father, Ed, at Northern Colorado.

Lavelle’s 2nd-half goal lifts U.S. past Canada 1-0.

ORL A N D O, F L A .» Rose Lavelle scored in the 79th minute to give the United States a 1-0 victory over Canada in the SheBelieve­s Cup on Thursday night.

The U.S. extended its winning streak to 35 matches overall and 51 on American soil.

Alex Morgan’s header off a cross from Crystal Dunn was just wide for the top-ranked Americans in the 68th minute. Lavelle, who came in as a substitute, picked up a loose ball off a free kick and scored.
