Jose Alfonso Roberto C’de Baca, age 82, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, born in Loma Parda, NM, formerly a resident of Commerce City, CO; passed away on Friday, March 5th, 2021, peacefully in his home in Rio Rancho, NM, surrounded by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Maranita C’de Baca (Amada C’de Baca) and Vicente C’de Baca (Chonito Hernandez), son: Kenneth L. C’de Baca, and his brother: Louie C’de Baca of Commerce City, CO.

He is survived by his wife and son: MaryLou C’de Baca of Rio Rancho, NM; and Robert C’de Baca (MaryJo C’de Baca) of Rio Rancho, NM; formerly of Commerce City, CO; his grandchild­ren: Jonathan C’de Baca of Rio Rancho, NM; Daniel Alderete of Denver, CO; Jolynn C’de Baca of Rio Rancho, NM; Jessica C’de Baca of Las Vegas, NM; and Krystal C’de Baca (Roman Baca) of Las Vegas, NM; his great-grandchild­ren: Siobhan Lipchak (Jolynn) of Rio Rancho, NM; Katelyn Baca, and Dominic Baca (Roman, Krystal) of Las Vegas, NM; Carlos A. C’deBaca (Jonathan) of Pueblo, CO; AnaLycia DeHerrera (Jessica) who resides in Commerce City, CO; his sister: Doris C’de Baca of Commerce City, CO; his sister in-law: Ernestine Bernal (Earl Bernal) of San Jose, CA; his brothers; Ben C’de Baca of Loma Parda, NM; Carlos C’de Baca (Della C’de Baca) of Las Vegas NM; numerous god children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. C’deBaca graduated from Las Vegas High School in New Mexico in 1957. He met his loving amazing wife, MaryLou Rocha in Colorado while playing in the band “Phil Trujillo and the Matadors,” where he played the bass guitar. Shortly after, they married in 1961, they had their first child in 1962 (Robert) and their second child in 1965 (Kenneth). He enlisted into the service (Army) in November of 1961. While enlisted, he received his Airline Training school certificat­e in June of 1964. He was honorably discharged in October of 1967. He graduated from the Community College of Denver with his degree in Accounting in 1976 and accomplish­ed his career path and retired as a Branch Manager for Wells Fargo.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 9:30am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father Rob Yaksich as Celebrant. Due to Covid 19 masks must be worn and social distancing is required.

Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, at 2:15pm with the following serving as pallbearer­s; Jonathan C’de Baca, Benito “Toti” C’de Baca, Antonio Pacheco, Encarnacio­n Hernandez, Roman Baca, Hilario Baca. Honorary Pallbearer­s: Dominic Jose Baca, and Carlos Alejandro C’de Baca.
