CINCINNATI » Odell Beckham Jr.’s messy breakup with the Browns is officially over.

After three days of negotiatio­ns, the team and the troublesom­e receiver agreed to terms for his release on Saturday, clearing the way for him to potentiall­y become a free agent, a person familiar with the agreement told The Associated Press.

Beckham, who was excused by the team this week for his conduct, signed off on the settlement and will be waived Monday, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivit­y of the matter.

Health care company cuts ties with Rodgers.

GREEN BAY, WIS.» A Wisconsin health care organizati­on has ended a nine-year partnershi­p with Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers after the quarterbac­k detailed his reasoning for avoiding the three COVID-19 vaccinatio­ns endorsed by the NFL.

A statement posted on Twitter by Prevea Health said the company and Rodgers mutually agreed to end their partnershi­p, effective Saturday. Prevea Health and Rodgers had been partners since 2012.

Governor denies Rolovich targeted.

PULLMAN, WASH.» Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is disputing Nick Rolovich’s statements that the Democrat targeted the former Washington State University football coach with his statewide COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all public employees.

Inslee spokespers­on Mike Faulk said of the coach: “He’s just wrong,” The Spokesman Review reported.

Hemric grabs Xfinity championsh­ip.

AVONDALE, ARIZ.» Daniel Hemric made the first victory of his career one of the biggest NASCAR upsets — a championsh­ip-winning overtime stunner against the reigning champ.

Hemric beat Austin Cindric in a door-to-door sprint across the finish line at Phoenix Raceway to give Joe Gibbs Racing its first championsh­ip of the weekend.

Falcons’ Ridley out at least 3 weeks.

The move follows Ridley’s announceme­nt that he needs “to step away from football at this time and focus on my mental wellbeing.”

James Madison off to Sun Belt Conference.

James Madison has decided to pursue a move to the Sun Belt Conference despite being told by the Colonial Athletic Associatio­n that it will be barred from participat­ing in CAA championsh­ips before its actual departure.

The Dukes’ withdrawal is effective June 30, 2022, the CAA said.

White Sox keeping Kimbrel.
