Home for the Holidays: With 4 ranches set for move-in right away, The Reserve shows off its 55-plus lifestyle

-

There were fewer than 3,400 homes for sale in the entire Denver metro area last week—and buyers looking for NEW homes were facing year-long waits for builders to deliver their wares. But Oakwoodlife can show you four homes that will all be ready for move-in by Christmas—where you, your kids, and grandkids could be enjoying the holidays in a roomy, retirement ranch.

Oakwoodlife is Oakwood Homes’ age-55-plus lifestyle brand, and The Reserve at Green Valley Ranch is where you can see that way of life taking shape—with a 10,000-sq.-foot ‘Farmhouse’ club that’s set to open in a few weeks, rigged out to stage holiday events, and sporting pickleball courts, a beach-entry pool with a lap lane, golf simulator, fitness studio, and a Lifestyle Director creating events.

Today, a mile east of Green Valley Ranch Golf Club, you can tour a 2-bedroom/2-bath Oasis ranch model that has 1,881 sq. feet of finished area—very similar to one of the same design that Oakwood has on track for pre-holiday delivery.

That home is one of four ‘Designer Showcase’ ranches that Oakwood is trimming with an interior design package, plus upgrades. On the Oasis, that includes a spa shower in the primary bedroom suite, a ‘Café Kitchen’ with granite tops and Kitchen Aid appliances, air conditioning, clerestory windows, a ‘Smart Space’ upstairs as a rec room or hobby area; unfinished basement,

patio, and a 2-car garage.

The price of that home this weekend is $588,630—almost exactly what the median-priced single-family resale house was selling for in the metro area last month. You’ll also see two larger ‘Haven’ ranches, each over 2,500 feet finished, one at $650,531.

1-year golf pass

Purchase any of those four homes and you’ll receive a oneyear pass to play the golf club’s Par-3 course; along with discounts on greens fees for the championship course, and dining at Ebert’s Terrace overlooking the fairways.

All of this was looking good to Susan Young, who along with husband Jonathan will make a move into The Reserve from Denver, after looking at possibilities around Castle Rock and Parker.

After a friend recommended she take a look at Oakwood, “I hung up the phone, came over immediately, and absolutely fell in love with it,” Young recalls. “There was no more looking.”

“It’s as much about the lifestyle as the house,” says Oakwoodlife’s Danny Koskovich, who with Lee Ann Delis will show you the models and Designer Showcase Homes today. ‘Everyone is anxious to

meet people.” Those include folks who arrive from out-of-state, many of them with family in the Denver area.

Oakwood’s Sanctuary and Bungalows Collection homes at The Reserve start from the $580s—a real price that delivers a home and site. All have low-maintenance yards, with front yards maintained as part of the HOA package. Take Green Valley Ranch Boulevard east past Picadilly and turn left.

“I hung up the phone, came over immediately, and absolutely fell in love with it.”
