Richard Edward Nold, 79, died peacefully in his sleep on March 20th, 2022 in Richland Hills, TX.

Born on July 17, 1942 to loving parents Leo and Anita ( née Felner) Nold in Belleville, IL, Richard was the oldest of five children. Pursuing an interest in business and finance, he attended St. Louis University and received his B. S in Commerce in 1964, then continued his education at Michigan State University for his M. B. A. He would eventually become a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in several states. Richard also served his country, beginning in the ROTC and eventually reaching the rank of captain in the U. S. Air Force. It was during his military service when he met his first wife, fellow Air Force officer Karen Daugherty. The two married in 1970, raising four children together. As a family man, Richard was active with the Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster as well as his local church, serving on various committees. He and Karen lived happily together until her untimely death in 2001.

After his military service, Richard worked as a civil servant for the U. S. Department of the Interior. As a systems accountant with DOI, his colleagues knew him not only for his expertise with the legacy accounting systems used by the Department, but his in- depth knowledge of the rules and regulations of government accounting. Even after his retirement with over 30 years of government service, his skills and knowledge were still heavily in demand as a government contractor.

During the end of his distinguished career, Richard found love again with his second wife, Yvette Duncan. Richard and Yvette married in 2008 and moved to the DallasFort Worth area. Richard and Yvette enjoyed their retirement together, with their friends over good meals and better conversations. He also became an active member of his local church, serving his community as a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus.

Richardnold is survived by his loving family: his wife Yvette, his children Laura [ Mike] Young, Julia [ Tyler] Alexander, Nicholas [ Elizabeth] Nold, and Christopher Nold; his four grandchildren Kyle, Athena, Quincy, and Cora; his brother Mark Nold; and his sisters Nancy Cullen and Lois [ Robert] Murphy. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Nold, his parents Leo and Anita and his first wife Karen.
