Nymbl and Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) are committed to helping you improve your balance and stay active in the comfort of your home. That’swhy thenymbltraining app is free to older adults ages 60 and up in the Greater Denverarea! Nymbl is a scientifically proven balance training app that combines fun brain games (like trivia) and simple body exercises (like marching in place) to improve your balance and help you keep doing the things you love. Each balance training session takes only 10 minutes a day that you can do at home - and best of all, it’s free!

When it comes to having confidence in everyday activities, our balance can play a large part. We asked Nymbl member Tori about her experience with Nymbl, and how it’s helped her daily life.

“Beforenymbl, Iwas falling a lot and had to use poleswhilewalking,” saidtori P.S., Nymbl member. “I also realized thatwhen Iwouldwalk, talkingwith a buddy at the sametimewould keepmemore stable.” Whentori learned thatnymbl uses the sameapproach as walking and talking at the same time [dual-tasking], she was eager to learn more and would try anything to improve her balance.

One thing that sets the Nymbl Training app apart is the convenience of doing balance training at home. “I was never available at the time for community balance classes. Nymbl was accessible, free, and so simple,” said Tori.

Tori now walks without poles, and she feels more confident when walking. “I used to concentrate on each step and look down to watch my feet. Nymbl got me out of concentrating too much on my walking, and I don’t even use my poles anymore,” Tori said. “I gained a lot more confidence because of the Nymbl Training app. I don’t have to think so hard about my walking now.”

If you’re struggling with your balance and confidence, you are not alone. It’s important to remember that you can improve your balance and reduce your risk of falling with daily balance training. Effective balance training teaches your brain and body to work together, also known as dual-tasking. Dual-tasking challenges you to think and move at the same time, which helps your balance reflexes and better prepares you for the world and its many uncertainties. This is where Nymbl can help. Nymbl is a scientifically proven approach to fall prevention that makes balance both fun and effective – in the comfort and safety of your home!

Nymbl and DRCOG care about you and your health and wellness needs. Part of your health and wellness includes your balance, which is why Nymbl and DRCOG teamed up to offer adults ages 60 and up free access to Nymbl’s balance training app, to help you age well and keep doing the activities you love.
