-

Fan Expo Denver 2023

Through Sunday: One of the biggest pop-culture events of the year arrives Friday, June 30, through Sunday, July 1, with Fan Expo Denver, the all-things convention featuring genre comics and literature, gaming, cosplay, animation, panels, artist tables and (yes) celebrities galore.

The 2023 event includes Hayden Christiansen and Katee Sackhoff, (Star Wars and “The Mandalorian”); director Sam Raimi (“Evil Dead,” “Spider-man”); a “Scream” cast reunion

(Neve Campbell, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, etc.); Henry Winkler (“Barry”); Christopher Lloyd (“Back to the Future”); “Star Trek: The Next Generation” stars (Gates Mcfadden, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner); “The Office” and “Harry Potter” cast members; and many, many more. In a nod to its nonprofit roots, the event again features kids programming from Pop Culture Classroom, such as all-ages activities, celeb drop-ins, gaming and music demos, and educational panels.

Three-day passes and most Saturday single-day passes are sold out, but individual passes remain for Friday, late Saturday and Sunday. Tickets: $12 ages Colter Wall in 2016. He will be performing in Denver this weekend.

6-12; $48-$53 per adult, on top of autographs and meet-and-greets. Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th St. in Denver. fanexpohq. com/fanexpodenver and popcultureclassroom.org — John Wenzel

Rodeo rumble in Greeley

Through Tuesday: If you heard the Greeley Stampede coming from a mile away, it’s because this year features a number of huge names already on the ground. That includes not only dozens of professional rodeo stars but also concerts from country names Tyler Hubbard (of Florida Georgia Line, Friday, July 30); Dustin Lynch (Saturday, July 1); and Sam Hunt (Monday, July 3).

The event, which started June 23 and runs through Tuesday, July 4, will also offer the popular Heritage of Mexico Rodeo (Saturday, July 2) in addition to the usual carnival, shopping, food, demolition derby, mutton busting, art shows, all-ages activities and a craft beer fest. Tickets: $35-$45 per concert; $15-$30 per rodeo; and $15-$30 for most other events. Island Grove Park, 600 N. 14th Ave. in Greeley. 720-600-8669 or greeleystampede.org — John Wenzel

A country day at Civic Center

Saturday: Denver’s Civic Center park has lately been a busy spot for live music, soon to include the great-looking Dusty Boots mini-festival, which kicks off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. The event features an impressive lineup of contemporary country, roots and Americana names such as Colter Wall, Margo Price, Houndmouth, Futurebirds, Murder By Death, Langhorne Slim and Colorado locals like Casey James Prestwood. Note: Dusty Boots will not, as originally announced, feature Orville Peck. The July 2, singer-songwriter-focused City Gates festival at Civic Center has also been canceled. However, the July 4 Zeds Dead & Deadbeats 3rd Annual Backyard Jamboree at Civic Center is still on. Dusty Boots takes place at 101 W. 14th Ave. Tickets: $90-$14 via axs.com —
