Traffic on South Santa Fe Drive will be down to one lane starting Monday
All but one lane of South Santa Fe Drive will close north of West Alameda Avenue starting Monday for a two-month construction project, Denver Water officials announced Friday.
Lane closures on the one-way stretch will be in place 24/7 for two months while crews work to replace a nearly 100-yearold section of water pipe from West Byers Place to West Bayaud Avenue, according to Denver Water.
Denver Water — Colorado’s oldest water utility — provides water to 1.5 million people in Denver and the city’s surrounding suburbs.
Local access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the project, but commuters should expect delays, Denver Water stated in the release.
Most construction will happen between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, but some night work is expected.
