National Philanthropy Day nominations open
Nominations are now open for the 18th annual National Philanthropy Awards, which recognize our valley’s unsung heroes. Nominate your favorite youth who tirelessly volunteers or an outstanding fundraiser or nonprofit founder who’s making a difference. Recognize an exceptionally generous philanthropist or an organization deeply affecting the most underserved citizens in our community.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals CA Desert Communities (AFPCA) invites you to celebrate honorees in the following categories: Outstanding Philanthropist(s); Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer; Outstanding Nonprofit Founder; Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation, Corporation or Civic Service Organization; Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy; and Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
Nominations can be made through afpcadesert.org and will close April 1. A blue-ribbon award panel, comprised of Coachella Valley community leaders, will review the nominations. The honorees announcement is scheduled for May 17 at 11 a.m. at Agua Caliente Rancho Mirage. Save the date for National Philanthropy Day on Nov. 1.
