Patty L. Lovine, 64, of St. Marys, died unexpected­ly at 12:52 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

She was born March 17, 1956 in Pennellvil­le, New York to Charles and Eleanor (Anderson) Lovine, both of whom preceded her in death.

She is survived by: sons Burt (Cassi) Abbott of Wyandot, Oklahoma and Scott Abbott  of St. Marys; daughters Deanna (Michael Godin) Abbott of Oswego, New York and Cassie Abbott of St. Marys; 16 grandchild­ren; one great-grandchild; sisters Sharon Fredenburg of Fulton, New York and Mary Jane (Wayne) Hinman of Charleston, South Carolina; brother Roy (Bonnie) Lovine of Oswego, New York;  numerous nieces and nephews and a collection of stray children who affectiona­tely called her “Mom.”

She was a graduate of the Center for Instructio­n, Technology & Innovation in Oswego County, New York.

A licensed practical nurse, she had worked in various health care facilities in New York and Ohio.

Her favorite pastimes included crocheting and collecting angel figurines. More than anything else, she absolutely loved her family and spending time with them.

A Celebratio­n of Life is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St. in St. Marys.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
