Cardinals, Wildcats teams earn wins

The New Bremen and Minster boys bowling team remained unbeaten on the season with their respective Midwest Athletic Conference games on Saturday.
The Cardinals improved to 6- 0 overall and 2- 0 in the MAC with a 2,653-2,409 win against Marion Local.
Maverick Nelson led the way with a 411 series, followed by Nicholas Alig with a 407. Wyatt Dicke rolled a 390 and Jared Bergman finished with a 325. Rolling one game each were Clint Voress (153) and Jack Wilson (132).
The Cardinals also won the Baker games 835-824.
The Wildcats defeated Parkway 2,521-1,659, led by Chandler Hoskins with his 377 series.
Austin Moeller followed with a 350, Brain Gonzales rolled a 313 series and Isaiah Vanderhorst finished with a 311.
Cedric Ranly (168) and Luke Lazier (117) also competed for Minster (6- 0, 2- 0), who also won the Baker

The Cardinals and Wildcats girls teams also come away with wins on Saturday in MAC action.
The Cardinals won 2,146-2,072 against the Flyers and Minster defeated the Panthers 2,156-1,864.
Emma Keller rolled a team-high 317 series, followed by Katie Howell with a 310 series. Emma Bambauer finished with a 278 series and Callie Wells
bowled a 251 series.
Lea Steinke (137) and Megan Ritter (132) each competed for the Cardinals (3-2, 1-1 MAC).
The Cardinals edged out the Flyers in Baker games 721-720.
Mara Blanke led the Wildcats to their victory over Parkway with a 364 series. Colleen Poeppelman followed with a 296, Emma Goubeaux rolled a 292, Cora Heitkamp finished with a 251 and Elyssa Mullins rolled a 238 series for the MAC-leading Wildcats (5-1, 2- 0).
