St. Marys Police Department
The St. Marys Police Department issued 19 citations and responded to the following incidents from Sept. 14 to Sept. 19.
Sept. 14
• At 3:05 p.m., the SMPD was called to the 1700 block of East Spring Street to investigate a private property accident in the area.
Sept. 15
• At 5:20 p.m., officers were told to investigate a 911 hang-up that occurred at the 300 block of South Vine Street.
• At 6:41 p.m., the police were called to the 400 block of Jackson Street in order to investigate a telecommunications harassment complaint.
• At 6:47 p.m., officers received a walk-in complaint regarding an incident involving assault at the High Street Splash Pad.
• At 11:38 p.m., Shawn Micheal was arrested on West Spring Street by the St. Marys Police Department on an outstanding criminal bench warrant sent out by the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office.
Sept. 16
• At 12:00 a.m., the SMPD assisted the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office with an incident at the 1400 block of New Knoxville Avenue.
• At 9:38 a.m., a private property crash was investigated by police at the 1200 block of East Spring Street.
• At 10:03 a.m., the police were notified of a theft that occurred on Armstrong Street after several traffic cones went missing at the East Primary School.
• At 10:19 a.m., officers responded to call received from the 400 block of Columbia Street in relation to a criminal damaging complaint.
• At 10:22 a.m., police officers investigated a complaint involving breaking and entering at the 1500 block of East Spring Street.
• At 11:32 a.m., officer were called to the 800 block of Hampton Drive to investigate a theft complaint in the area.
Sept. 17
• At 10:22 a.m., the SMPD assisted the Minster Police Department with individual arrest involving operating a vehicle while intoxicated at the 200 block of Indiana Avenue.
• At 1:00 p.m., officers were called to the 500 block of South Wayne Street in order to investigate a breaking and entering complaint.
Sept. 18
• At 1:26 p.m., the police responded to a complaint involving a canine at the 400 block of McLain Street.
• At 8:22 p.m., a complaint involving vandalism was reported to the police at the 200 block of St. Clair Street.
• At 9:44 p.m., police received reports of a suicidal male at the 400 block of Beech Street.
Sept. 19
• At 11:43 a.m., the SMPD responded to a complaint of a violation of a protection order at the 200 block of North Perry Street.
• At 11:46 a.m., a complaint was sent in to the police in relation to a four wheeler being driven at the public park on Klosterman Lane.
• At 4:33 p.m., an accident occurred at the intersection of Royal Oak Drive and SR 703 after a vehicle ran a red light, leading to a collision.
