Hospital foundation set for change in leadership
Linda Haines, executive director of the JTD Hospital Foundation will retire the end of October after nearly 43 years with the Grand Lake Health System. Julie Jacobs will then step into the executive director role.
Haines started as an RN with the hospital in 1979 and spent more than 25 years of her career in Home Care and Hospice. She accepted the role of the executive director of the Foundation in 2013 and has led successful campaigns and many events benefitting patient care and Grand Lake Hospice services. Most recently, she has worked on a new Pediatric Rehab project, one she states she is “proud to have had a part in”.
“We live in an area where the people in our communities care about each other and want to ensure that quality health care is close to home. The new Pediatric project will certainly help provide this.” Haines said. “My work with the Foundation has been such a pleasure. Having the opportunity to meet new people and create new relationships has been such a joy.”
Julie Jacobs will transition into her new role as executive director beginning Nov. 1. Jacobs has worked for the Grand Lake Health System since 2003 and has been the volunteer development coordinator since 2013. She will continue to have oversight of these services.
She is from St. Marys and is married to Keith Jacobs. They have four children and are active in the community.
